The Unsceen · All the Light We Cannot See · Netflix · 2023
All the Light We Cannot See tells the story of a blind girl. When we discovered that a scene from Steven Knight's screenplay hadn't made it into the final series, we brought it to life as The Unsceen: a book designed bi-scriptually; Braille and print at once. Letting readers with visual impairments experience the scene, and showing sighted readers how they read.
Braille embossed on transparent paper places both writing systems side by side. Spiral binding lets every page lie flat under reading fingers. A QR code carries the audio script for those who don't read Braille. Developed with Germany's leading inclusivity experts, it became a best-practice case for accessible media — and the only place this scene exists.
Jury's Choice at the Type Directors Club New York. Gold Clio Entertainment.

THE UNSCEEN was released in collaboration with Hugendubel, one of Germany's largest book retailers, and has set new standards for inclusive brand communication.
